Hello!

Welcome to Poma. We are an independent Italian family business, with artisan gelato at the heart. Our gelato is all made from scratch on site by me, Jessica Poma. Milk from East Yorkshire cows & the finest ingredients go into making the tastiest gelato possible, in an artisanal, Italian way. Where we can, local & seasonal fruits are churned into our gelato & sorbets and we love to create new & interesting flavours we know you won’t see elsewhere. We also love a classic Italian flavour - a top quality pistacchio is always a winner!

We look forward to welcoming you into our cosy cafe on Wednesday Market where we serve our gelato in many different forms. Take a cone or tub to walk with, fill a thermal box to take home to your freezer, or sit in with us and enjoy a sundae or hot pudding! We have many other homemade sweet & savoury treats on our counter, as well as smoothies, shakes, coffee, and alcoholic beverages! We also have a lovely big space in front of the cafe to dine al fresco and watch the world go by in good weather, just around the corner from the stunning Beverley Minster.
